Magnesium Oxide Doped Lithium Niobate (MgO:LiNbO3)

Magnesium oxide doped lithium niobate has similar properties as lithium niiobate. However, it improves the efficiency of non-critical phase matching (NCPM) frequency doubling of Nd:Lasers and mixing, and optical parametric oscillators (OPOs). The SHG efficiencies is over 65% for pulsed Nd:YAG lasers and 45% for cw Nd:YAG lasers.
